Or Boulet's Paul Brodie series of Canadian-made boots with Pendleton wool uppers. Or Gypsy Soule's Peridot and Swarovski-accented shoes, sandals and f ip-f ops. T e Hudson Oaks, Texas-based company has become a sister company with Miller International. "We get their designing genius and inspiration," Miller's Smith says, "and they get our back-of ce support and sourcing." Bed|Stü's line of hand-washed leather boots are selling well, Tony Sugden says, with the most popular style being an English- Western-fashion cross called the Manchester. Dan Post is keeping its ladies fashion, especially when it comes to metallic treatments, more "middle of the road," designer Dan Ponder says. "Something the woman can wear more than once or twice and get a little more usage out of the boots." Durango has everything from boots based on the company's classic engineer boot to logger- inspired boots to boots with distressed leathers mixed with canvas. Plus bridal-inspired boots and traditional styles based on the company's heritage to boots with three removable leather straps for a completely customized look. Plus … a bottle opener. "Every girl needs that," Vanwy says. Tanner Mark is selling its glittered, laser-cut Western fashion boots from Sheplers to Bass Pro Shops. Lane Boots has 70 percent new styles and is adding several new studding patterns. "It's really eclectic but simple enough that it's not overstated," LaDane Smith says. "We can of er something to everybody from the Western store to the boutique to the biker shop." Or … boots for everybody. Short boots are strong at Liberty Black, and fringe remains popular, but as sales director Scott Neighbors points out: "I think it just depends on the store and the customer. T ey're always trying to look for something dif erent." Dif erent is why Nocona's Cowgirl Posh line of ers fashion boots in great colors and sof leathers, while its higher-end Centro line features higher heels and more intricate details. Meanwhile, Anderson Bean's Macie Bean line is seeing success with classic f ower embroidery and more traditional inlays, and Justin's fashion lines are moving to a more subdued look. "Nothing too f ashy, less bling," says Tassie Munroe, Justin's marketing and public relations coordinator. "We had that big push with inlay tooling, but now we're seeing more demand for a boot you can wear with everything."
