Western & English Today 5 EDITOR'S note SPRING 2016 All In The Family By Holly Henderson Editorial Director C OME THIS SUMMER, I WILL HAVE BEEN WORKING FOR COWBOYS & INDIANS for seven years, during which time I've gone from editorial assistant to manag- ing editor. It feels like I've done it all — coordinated cover shoots, interviewed de signers, worked with writers and photographers across the country, traveled, styled fashion shoots, and, of course, edited hundreds of features. And I've loved every minute — in equal parts due to my love of fashion, the West, and the team supporting me. Our team is a family. We work together, play together, and take great pride in every issue we produce together. So I could not be more thrilled about bringing Western & English Today back in house with my fellow C&I; editors. We're excited to have the opportunity to speak directly to the retailers and wholesalers who make and sell the products that our readers come to us to f nd and hope to provide a fresh take on the B2B magazine you've come to rely on. These distressed ankle booties work for any season. I'll go from wearing them with summer dresses to leggings and over- sized knits in the fall. Liberty Black , libertyblack.com These are the best moccasins I've ever owned. They're even more comfy than my shearling slippers (yet still appropriate for outside of the house) and come in a bright shade of blue that pairs perfectly with Sleeping Beauty and Kingman turquoise accessories. Itasca Leathergoods, itascaleathergoods.com My husband gave me this concho belt for my birthday, but that isn't the (only) reason why I love it. Its stamp work styled after early Na vajo designs gives vintage appeal. J. Alex ander Rustic Silver, jalexanderrusticsilver.com I'm a Dallas native with a love of the West, which makes my sense of style a bit ecclectic. It's a blend of cowgirl and contemporary with a bit of Southern boho, and this floppy hat fits the bill. Charlie 1 Horse, charle1horse.com These are the Western equivalent of a pair of classic diamond hoops. Chelsea Collette Collections, chelseacollettecollections.com From My Closet Here are a few of my most recent favorite go-tos. Sign up for our RETAIL PROGRAM!
