FALL 2017 Western & English Today 5 STYLE WE'RE IN2 By Holly Henderson, Editorial Director T his issue is all about two of my favorite topics: clothing and turquoise. In "Following the Turquoise Trail" (page 26), we compare the various mines out West, explain how turquoise is priced, and off er advice from several respected Native American jewelry dealers on how to approach fi nding and purchasing unique pieces for your store. Our fashion feature, "Lines We Love" (page 14), reveals our Top 10 list of labels to look for at market, and they aren't all ones you might expect. Alongside the likes of Wrangler, Ryan Michael, and Double D Ranch, the issue highlights the latest fashions from Eques- trian lifestyle brands such as Dubarry and Rönner. It also introduces newcomers such as Ellsworth & Ivey, known for its tailored capes and outerwear, and Western & Co., a line of printed tees created by graphic designer and online retailer Hailey Nelson. With so many standouts, it's hard to choose a favorite, but if my arm was twisted, I would name In2Green as my No. 1 pick. I actually fell in love with this line last fall when introduced to its environmen- tally friendly knit blankets — which are made entirely from receycled and organic cotton. As the label has grown, so has its inventory; it now includes scarves and wraps for bundling up. And at In2Green, design is as much a priority as conservation. e Equestrian collec- tion features classic-yet-contemporary horseshoe, bit, and fox-hunt prints that are understated and chic. ey're pieces I feel good about buying and know I'll be wearing for many winters to come.
