SPAIN THRIVES IN
lthough T e Spanish Boot
Company indicates another likely
geographic location, owner Emma
Snailham resides in Abbotts
Langley, UK. She got to
know and love Spanish
boots while working in
a Portuguese stable yard
and ultimately founded her
company in 2002.
Her boots don't look
"exactly" like other English
show boots, and that's just
f ne as they exude their
own international character.
T ey're used for riding and
more, although she says the
suede models may not be as
robust as other materials.
As to what makes Spanish
boots "Spanish," Snailham
says it's all about the
"T e Spanish Riding Boot Classic style
is made throughout Spain, with slight
design dif erences. T e ones I import
have broguing detail (perforations), while
others might just have stitching detail,"
Customer favorites include that
Classic at retail £205/€310 in brown, and
she's just introduced tan and chocolate
brown versions with leather soles at
£215/€325. Polo is more of a classic riding
boot with a front zip for practicality,
priced at £275/€415. Other categories
include the Long Tassle, featuring cut-
out detail, while the Roceiro is a classic
cut boot, plain but versatile. T is year,
Snailham is stocking wide calf f ttings and
is working on a slim f t.
She's committed to an eye-catching,
af ordable boot collection while not
skimping on materials and craf smanship.
"We pride ourselves on customer service,"
she says, extending an invitation to
connect. "It would be great to supply
stores in the U.S. T e boots seem popular
there, so to make them more accessible
would be fantastic!"
