38 Western & English Today EDITOR'S PICK FALL 2016 I n2green was founded in 2008 by two friends who were among the first to decide that green is the new black. Not only wanting to embrace a greener lifestyle them selves but also inspire others to do the same, Lori Slater and Stefani Zeldin developed a collection of knits — throws, bed scarves, pillows, and wraps — made entirely from recycled and organic cotton. e yarn is spun out of re-fiberized T-shirt fabrics and le untouched by additional dyes or chemicals. But in2green isn't all about sustainability. It's just as much about aesthetics. In reversible designs that are both timeless and modern, the owners work closely with local designers and knitters to create "eco luxury." "I love that this line does not read eco, but it is," says in2green director of sales Jill Dietz. " ... [ese designs] are beautiful, and it's just an added bonus that they're made from recycled-cotton yarn." Our favorites, of course, are the horseshoe and fox hunt depictions of the Equestrian collection, an expression of "rustic beauty and unbridled romanticism." e latest happenings at in2green: is year celebrating their 10th anniversary, Slater and Zeldin have begun also up-cycling polyester, introducing a new indoor/outdoor collection of quick-drying throws made from post-consumer plastic bottles. www.in2green.com IN 2 GREEN ECO LUXURY
